The College for Kids nutrition team is all about giving your kids the best fuel for their day. We've crafted a menu using local, organic ingredients to make sure each meal is as nutritious as it is delicious. With our organic food program children explore the importance of eating healthy, nutrient-rich, whole foods. Eating organic food can reduce exposure to pesticides and harmful chemicals, promoting better overall health for children. Additionally, organic farming practices often result in higher nutrient levels in fruits and vegetables, contributing to a more balanced diet.
At the core of our mission is a commitment to promoting healthy eating habits, which is why we made the decision to establish our own farm and raise chickens to produce 100% organic eggs. Our chickens are fed a diet of certified organic feed, free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). They are raised in open outdoor environments, where they can freely engage in natural behaviors such as foraging, dust bathing, and roaming. Adhering to strict organic standards, our chickens are never administered antibiotics or growth hormones. The result is a thriving, healthy flock that produces the highest quality organic eggs, ensuring a product that is as wholesome and natural as possible.
We're certified in Farm to Childcare, which means we have formal partnerships with local farms and even sponsor farmers markets. This ensures that all our meats, dairy, and produce are ethically raised and sourced year-round. We're proud to partner with local organic farmers and growers, strengthening our community and teaching kids about the value of local food systems. Kids discover the connection between sustainable farming, healthy eating, and environmental care, promoting lifelong healthy habits.
At College for Kids, we are committed to providing high-quality, nutritious meals for your children. Our menu features a variety of beef, turkey, fish, and poultry products, all sourced from animals that are naturally raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics. Please note that we do not serve pork or any products containing pork.
We believe in offering the best for your children, which is why all four daily meals are prepared with organic and wholesome ingredients. Our team takes the time to educate your children about the benefits of the foods we serve, helping them understand why these choices are important for their health and well-being.
Beyond serving healthy meals, we are dedicated to fostering lifelong healthy eating habits. Through engaging discussions and activities, we aim to empower your children with the knowledge they need to make informed, nutritious choices both now and in the future. At College for Kids, we’re not just feeding minds—we’re nurturing healthy lifestyles!
