Healthy Organic Meals

We Care About Your Child’s Health

Children’s Nutrition and Food Program Commitment

The College for Kids nutrition team is all about giving your kids the best fuel for their day. We’ve crafted a menu using local, organic ingredients to make sure each meal is as nutritious as it is delicious. With our organic food program children explore the importance of eating healthy, nutrient-rich, whole foods. Eating organic food can reduce exposure to pesticides and harmful chemicals, promoting better overall health for children. Additionally, organic farming practices often result in higher nutrient levels in fruits and vegetables, contributing to a more balanced diet.

We Have Our Own Farm!

At the core of our mission is a commitment to promoting healthy eating habits, which is why we made the decision to establish our own farm and raise chickens to produce 100% organic eggs. Our chickens are fed a diet of certified organic feed, free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). They are raised in open outdoor environments, where they can freely engage in natural behaviors such as foraging, dust bathing, and roaming. Adhering to strict organic standards, our chickens are never administered antibiotics or growth hormones. The result is a thriving, healthy flock that produces the highest quality organic eggs, ensuring a product that is as wholesome and natural as possible.

From Farm to Childcare

We’re certified in Farm to Childcare, which means we have formal partnerships with local farms and even sponsor farmers markets. This ensures that all our meats, dairy, and produce are ethically raised and sourced year-round. We’re proud to partner with local organic farmers and growers, strengthening our community and teaching kids about the value of local food systems. Kids discover the connection between sustainable farming, healthy eating, and environmental care, promoting lifelong healthy habits.

Our Chefs and Nutrition Department

At College for Kids, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care, particularly when it comes to the health and well-being of our children. We take pride in offering nutritious, organic meals prepared daily in-house by our skilled culinary team. From the earliest stages of development, we ensure that even our infants receive the best possible nutrition. As they transition from breast milk or formula to solid foods, our chefs craft fresh, organic purees made from the finest ingredients. We prioritize quality and freshness, never relying on canned fruits or vegetables. Our chefs are passionate about creating wholesome, scratch-made meals every day, ensuring that every child receives the nourishment they deserve in a safe and healthy environment.

Aligning Our Intercultural Practices With Our Nutrition Initiatives

At the heart of our nutrition program lies a deep commitment to celebrating and aligning intercultural practices, ensuring that every meal we serve reflects the rich diversity of the communities we serve. Our menu is thoughtfully curated to feature healthy, organic foods inspired by a variety of cultural traditions.

By honoring the culinary heritage of different cultures, we not only promote inclusivity but also provide nutritious, flavorful options that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs. Together, we embrace the power of food to connect, nourish, and celebrate the unique traditions that make our community so vibrant.
